What is a Christian Science Practitioner?
A practitioner supports the thought of the patient in seeking healing through prayer to the one omnipotent, spiritual God through divine Mind. Healing comes when we listen to and obey God’s direction in dealing with everyday practical choices. Through this process we come to understand more of ourselves as a perfect reflection of the one perfect God. – C.J. Kaye
What is Christian Science, what are its rules and what is its doctrine.
Christian Science is based on the Bible, primarily Jesus’ healing through prayer alone.
The Manual of Christian Science by Mary Baker Eddy (Church Manual of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Mass.) is a guideline as to the structure of the Church and the personal goals or discipline for each of its’ members.

Our Church Pastor (From the Church Manual)
"The Christian Science Pastor: I, Mary Baker Eddy, ordain the BIBLE and Science & Health with key to the Scriptures, Pastor over The Mother Church, -- the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Mass.—and they will continue to preach for this Church and the world." (From the Church Manual)
The Tenets of our Church (Science & Health)
|
1. As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life.
2. We acknowledge and adore one supreme and infinite God. We acknowledge His Son, one Christ; the Holy Ghost or divine Comforter; and man in God’s image and likeness.
3. We acknowledge God’s forgiveness of sin in the destruction of sin and the spiritual understanding that casts out evil as unreal. But the belief in sin is punished so long as the belief lasts.
4. We acknowledge Jesus’ atonement as the evidence of divine, efficacious Love, unfolding man’s unity with God through Christ Jesus the Way-shower; and we acknowledge that man is saved through Christ, through Truth, Life, and Love as demonstrated by the Galilean Prophet in healing the sick and overcoming sin and death.
5. We acknowledge that the crucifixion of Jesus and his resurrection served to uplift faith to understand eternal Life, even the allness of Soul, Spirit, and the nothingness of matter.
6. And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have him do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure.

Guidance to our beliefs (From the Bible)
Matt 10: 8 "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, feely give.”
Matt 4 23-24: "And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had palsy; and he healed them.”
Rom.8: 2, 4-5 "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.”
I Cor 2: 12, 16 "Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
I John 4: 7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God.”
From Science & Health with key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy
587: 5 GOD: "The great I AM; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence."
476: 31-5 "Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God’s own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy.”
XI: 9-14: "The physical healing of Christian Science results now, as in Jesus’ time, from the operation of divine Principle, before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness and disappear as naturally and as necessarily as darkness gives place to light and sin to reformation.”
69: 13 "Spiritually to understand that there is but one creator, God, unfolds all creation, confirms the Scriptures, brings the sweet assurance of no parting, no pain, and of man deathless and perfect and eternal.”
304: 9 "This is the doctrine of Christian Science: that divine Love cannot be deprived of its manifestation, or object; that joy cannot be turned into sorrow, for sorrow is not the master of joy; that good can never produce evil; that matter can never produce mind nor life result in death. The perfect man—governed by God, his perfect Principle—is sinless and eternal.”
